About Us:

Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue is seeking a dedicated, community minded leader to join our team as a Shift Captain/Paramedic. We are a combination fire district that provides fire, rescue, and emergency medical service in Crooked River Ranch. Our career and volunteer personnel respond to an average of 600 calls per year, 78% of that being medical calls.

About the Role:

The Shift Captain functions as the assigned shift’s commanding officer, supervising personnel, maintaining station operations, and leading emergency response activities. This position is central to ensuring safety, readiness and team development across our combination career/volunteer department.

• Base Salary: $58,340-$72,331 (DOE)

Qualifications:

Minimum

• Valid Driver’s license
• Associates Degree
• Oregon Paramedic upon appointment
• Three (3) years experience as a career firefighter/paramedic
• NFPA Firefighter II
• NFPA Fire & Emergency Services Instructor
• NFPA Fire Apparatus Equipped with a Fire Pump (Pumper Operator)
• NWCG Wildland Firefighter Type I
• Ability to obtain NFPA Fire Officer within 6 months of hire
• Ability to obtain NWCG Single Resource Boss and NFPA Rope Rescue Operations within 12 months of hire

How to Apply:

Crooked River Ranch Fire & Rescue is now accepting applications for the position of Captain/Paramedic.  Positions are regular, full-time and represented by IAFF Local 3650.  We operate on a 48/96 shift schedule. This selection process will establish an eligibility list and fill one immediate vacancy.  Completion of the following items is required to be considered for employment:

• Completion of the FireTEAM Exam
• NTN personal history questionnaire
• Upload relevant certifications, resume and cover letter to NTN site
• Successful completion of CPAT within the last 12 months or CRRF&R internal physical ability course may be available upon request.
